ABOUT ME - Tanya Gardiner, BACP, CCC Reg Tanya Gardiner, BACP, CCC Reg Qualifications: Certificate in Counselling, BCPC, Bath Diploma in Professional Studies Counselling, University of the West of England, Bristol I am a fully qualified Professional counsellor who works in a GP Surgery and Family Centre as well as my own Private practice in the Somerset area. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a CCC Registered Counsellor. As a member of the BACP I am bound by its code of Ethics and practice and subject to its complaints procedures. I regularly attend seminars and workshops for my on-going professional development. My Approach My approach in the counselling relationship is integrative which means that I integrate theories and practice from two schools of thought. One is humanistic and the other is psychoanalytic. From the humanistic they take the values and conviction that people are naturally healthy if given the right conditions. From the psychoanalytic they take a concern with human development and the childhood patterns that affect us in the present. |
