Why Online Counselling?
Have you considered seeking some help with your problems but you
were just too busy to schedule an appointment and still meet your
other responsibilities, or you didn’t want to waste your time
sitting in a waiting room with strangers waiting your turn?
Maybe you would just prefer the privacy and informality of discussing
your issues in the security of your own home, office, hotel or student
accommodation.
Or maybe you are experiencing a medical illness or disability that
makes it difficult for you to visit a practitioners premises.
Other possible reasons why Online counselling could suit you are
that you….
• Live in a remote area and find it difficult to travel too
far.
• Have hearing problems and prefer to use text only communication.
• Have a profession where you travel with your work and therefore
away from home for extended periods.
• Cannot conveniently leave the home
• Have irregular schedules.
• Are agoraphobic.
• Perceive a stigma in traditional counselling.
• Find in-person meetings are stressful.
• Are a parent who is unable to obtain childcare.
Online Counselling allows you to receive help in your own time,
without having to take time off work or seek a babysitter and within
the complete privacy of your own home.

Online Counselling Service
The
services offered by Counselloronline.Co.Uk is to provide a way to
receive counselling via the internet. On this site you can choose
between counselling by email or real time counselling in a secure
Counselling chat room facility. Everything that is discussed in
the online Counselling room is purely confidential and no record
is made. You will be able to view your counsellor on webcam but
it is entirely your choice as to whether you wish to show yourself
on this facility. It is also possible through the software I am
using to communicate by voice if you wish to do so (depending on
your connection), otherwise it will be text only communication.
Clients wishing to use this option will have a clear ideal of what
they would hope to benefit from working through their issues with
a counsellor. Like face to face counselling, the counsellor and
client will contract at the outset for an agreed number of sessions.
Some people may benefit after just one session, others may require
more. It is important that we both agree on the length of the course
so we have something to aim for and achieve. The sessions are usually
weekly. Clients may choose to re-contract again after the agreed
period if they feel they need to.
If you feel that you would like to try online counselling please
contact me by emailing
Tanya@Counselloronline.co.uk or to fill in a request form click
here.
If you have an appointment then please click
here to enter the secure chat room.
NB. Online Counselling is not the right choice for you…
• If you are thinking of harming yourself or others
• If you are experiencing psychotic symptoms (hearing voices,
paranoia etc)
• If you need specialist support
If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms it is important
to seek professional help.
